About Our Database
Sunset Bar & Grill
The primary purpose of our database is to effectively identify possible issues with your restaurant's employees. By inputting data about your customers' order you will be able to determine which employees prepare food on time or delayed. Finding employees that have consistently delayed orders are important to you and your company because those employees are hurting your business. If customers constantly receive food late it slows down the amount of customers you can serve at once and thus, decreases customer satisfaction.
Some things stored in our tables are employee information such as first name, last name, hire date, phone number and social security number. Order information consists of the food on your menu, standard wait time, actual order wait time, as well as the employee responsible for the order. For the specific company we worked with - Sunset Bar & Grill, this data was already tracked. However, the company was not utilizing this information to expedite business operations. We believe that our database puts this information to good use - therefore automating and streamlining business processes.
This data is put to good use by the various forms and reports generated in our database. The order status report shows the total count of orders taken at the restaurant for that day. The total order statuses have been divided and organized into two categories, "Delayed" and "On Time". The average wait time for date report is to see if the average order wait time for a specific day is satisfactory. A satisfactory wait time for any given order is 20 minutes or less. The employee productivity report shows which employees prepared which food and how long it took. And lastly, the employees to monitor report shows the amount of delayed orders each employee has had.
